Aimed, primarily at professional black men and women in their twenties and thirties, the National Leadership Association as three main aims:
1. Personal advancement
Encouraging and supporting the advancement of young black professionals to positions of board directors, CEOs, senior leaders, middle leaders and managers.
2. Impacting on society
Equipping young black professionals with the tools to positively impact their workplace and society at large
3. Future leaders
Building the talent pipeline of the current and next generation of Black leaders.
Leadership Training Courses
Our leadership training courses equips young black professionals with the skills and competences to be effective leaders
Our flagship leadership training course is ‘ our 3 month course entitled Dynamic leadership Against the Odds, as level 5 coruse accredited through the Institire of Leaderhsip and Management.
Course Aim
To cultivate confident, visionary Black leaders by providing a transformative learning experience rooted in cultural awareness, racial equity, and leadership excellence. This programme equips participants with the tools to lead authentically, navigate systemic challenges, and drive meaningful change in their organisations and communities. Through theory, reflective practice, and coaching, the course honours lived experiences and empowers Black leaders to thrive in spaces where they have historically been underrepresented.
Course Objectives
- Apply visionary leadership through creativity, innovation, strategic thinking, and change management
- Demonstrate ownership and build effective, inclusive workplace relationships
- Reflect on personal leadership style to support career progression and self-empowerment
- Navigate conflict, power dynamics, and organisational politics with cultural awareness and resilience
- Implement strategies to overcome racial barriers and systemic challenges in leadership
- Inspire others through coaching, mentoring, and equitable talent development
- Lead with integrity by aligning decisions with personal values, lived experiences, and community impact
Professional Recognition
Upon successful completion of the course, trainees automatically gain full membership to the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM)—an internationally recognised professional body for leaders and managers. This prestigious membership entitles graduates to:
- Use the ILM post-nominal letters after their name

Leadership Conferences
Our leadership conferences offer a powerful platform for young Black leaders to engage with accomplished professionals, gain invaluable insights from their lived experiences, and build meaningful connections within a supportive community.
These events are designed to open doors—creating space for delegates to connect with like-minded peers, exchange ideas, and form networks that foster growth and resilience.
Through keynote sessions, interactive panels, and targeted workshops, delegates are encouraged to challenge conventional thinking, sharpen their leadership vision, and explore pathways most relevant to their personal and professional journey.
